Television picture problems I can fix for you!

1. Does your Freeview digital TV (dtv) picture say no signal, is freezing, has pixelation or missing channels or your digital aerial has been damaged during bad weather conditions & requires repairing?

Does your Sky TV picture say no satellite signal is being received, your magic eye picture is fuzzy or the magic eye is not working, you can't record on your Sky plus box or your satellite dish needs re-siting due to interference from leaves on trees or realigning after bad weather has moved it?

3. Does your motorised satellite no longer move, has lost all its settings and needs re-calibrating or says no satellite signal?

For all repair work carried out I have set prices & an hourly rate as follows:

 

A customer callout which includes 1 hours labour and travel time is £50. This should give me plenty of time to diagnose and repair almost all faults! I carry most spare parts on my van such as Amplifiers, Aerials, Satellite Dishes, Poles and brackets & have equipment that will test Coax cable, Cat5/6 cable, Digital Aerial & all Satellite Signals! If the Job is likely to exceed 1 hour then I charge £25 per hour there after!

If the job requires spare parts such as the chimney bracket for your aerial has snapped then an additional charge would be added. For example £35 for added a ratchet chimney bracket shown on my Aerial Installation page!

 

Finally if it would be more cost effective to install a new Digital Aerial from scratch then I would wave all other charges and do the job as an installation with a set price!

 

Faults that you can diagnose & fix!

 

1. Sky box has picture but no sound or vice versa? Then check that the scart lead connecting your box to TV is housed correctly!

2. Just moved in and no TV's in the house work but did for previous owner? Then check for a power supply unit usually by one of the TV sockets and that it is switched on? If not ask the previous owners if they have taken it by mistake!

3. Keep picking up the Welsh or West Midland channels instead of the North West? Then your aerial Signal is to strong and a manual re-tune is required on Channel frequencies 29,31,32,34,35,37,55 for Cheshire and the North West!

 

From July 2022 certain channels are being moved/removed on the Winter hill transmitter which will result in a number of re-tunes you will have to perform on your TV.

If after a re-tune you no longer receive certain channels then it maybe because certain frequencies have been put on reduced power or your TV does not have a DVB-T2 tuner (the TV is not full high definition just HD ready).
